Formation

Formation is the focus of two centers in our SVD Southern Province. In Cebu and in Davao.

Divine Word Formation Center

There is Divine Word Formation Center (DWFC) in Catalunan Grande in Davao City, where the seminarians study their first and second year of philosophy after which they proceed to Christ the King Mission Seminary in Manila for the second part of their academic discipline.

St. Joseph Freinademetz Formation House

Saint Joseph Freinademetz Formation House (SJFFH) is in Cebu City where the brotherhood candidates live. The young missionaries acquired their professional training and skills from different schools. This formation house welcomes candidates coming from different parts of the Philippines. Since this is the “central” house of brothers on formation, the diversity of Philippine culture gives it the taste of a real religious and missionary community.
